The Sackets Harbor Brewing Company opened at 212 W. Main Street in Sackets Harbor, NY in May of 1996. That year they sold beer out of the Sackets Harbor pub, and began selling kegs of beer to other restaurants in the area. The beer was brewed onsite in an addition built on the front of the restaurant. SHBC outgrew its own brewing facilities in August 1997, and started contracting brewing out to Middle Ages Brewery in Syracuse. By November of 1997 SHBC had outgrown Middle Ages as well, and began working with Ten Springs Brewing Company in Saratoga Springs, NY. SHBC sells about 46,500 gallons of beer per year. About 15,500 of those gallons are still produced at the Sackets Harbor location.
In August of 1999 Sackets Harbor Brewing Company began selling the 1812 Ale in bottles. The success of the bottled beer will determine whether a new brewery is built in the Watertown area. The bottled beer is expected to double the sales of beer within the first year. The Sackets Harbor Brewing Company would have to sell about 93,000 gallons of beer per year to justify setting up a second brewing facility of its own.
Beginning in 2000 the Company will begin distributing 4 packs of its old fashioned Root Beer to area stores. The Root Beer is currently available at the Sackets Harbor location.

The NCAC is a group of volunteers dedicated to awareness, support and education for young men facing with, and surviving testicular and other cancers. With support from the Lance Armstrong Foundation, the NCAC performs awareness programs, and raises funds for cancer research, education, advocacy and support programs for cancer patients, survivors and family members.
